Uzbek heavyweight star Lazizbek Mullojonov has officially claimed the vacant WBC EuroAsia championship belt. The bout concluded with a Technical Knockout (TKO) victory after his opponent was disqualified for passivity
The professional boxing scene in Tashkent witnessed a highly unusual yet decisive night of championship action. Elite Uzbek heavyweight and Olympic gold medalist Lazizbek Mullojonov has officially claimed the vacant WBC EuroAsia Heavyweight championship title, adding a prestigious World Boxing Council regional belt to his rapidly growing professional resume.
The highly anticipated co-main event, however, took an unexpected turn that left fans and pundits talking. Right from the opening bell, Mullojonov looked sharp, establishing his distance and controlling the center of the ring with powerful combinations. In stark contrast, his opponent adopted a purely evasive and defensive strategy, consistently backing away, refusing to engage in clean exchanges, and showcasing extreme passivity.
As the rounds progressed, the referee repeatedly issued stern warnings to the opposing corner, demanding active engagement and a willingness to box. Following a final refusal to engage and continued passive movement, the referee made the executive decision to strictly enforce WBC rules, officially disqualifying the opponent for a lack of competitive spirit.
As a result of the disqualification, Lazizbek Mullojonov was rightfully awarded a Technical Knockout (W-TKO) victory. While the ending to the bout was unconventional for a major title fight, Mullojonov's technical supremacy and ring generalship were undeniable. This crucial victory further elevates his standing within the international WBC rankings and sets the stage for massive future matchups in the Eurasian heavyweight division.
