Osleys Iglesias has made it clear he has no problem defending his IBF super middleweight title against Carlos Adames next.
You'd be hard pressed to find too many fighters who are willing to fight Iglesias , nicknamed “El Tornado." In the Cuban's last fight, he stopped Pavel Silyagin in the eighth round of their 168-pound scrap for the vacant title. Adames , the WBC middleweight champion, announced his intentions to move up to super middleweight earlier this year and has already said that he would welcome a fight against Iglesias. And now Iglesias (15-0, 14 KOs) has responded to those callouts on social media. “This is just a talker,” Iglesias wrote on his X account. “I'm ready too. You don't want this fire. You've got a lot to do in your division, since you're dodging everyone. And you want to get attention, calling out a real executioner. You're making me laugh. It's not the same as calling the tornado.” Iglesias is ranked No. 2 by The Ring at super middleweight, and has one of the highest knockout percentages in the entire sport. Still, even with everything he’s accomplished, Adames (25-1-1, 18 KOs) has no problem proving to him that he is who he says he is. “Who are you?” Adames replied on X. “What I do up in the ring backs up what l say down here. Whenever you want, I'm ready to prove it to you. What fire? I've got a fire extinguisher.” Iglesias retorted once again: “No more talking. Let’s get on the same page and take the fight to the next level. I'm waiting for your call. My crew is already ready, big mouth. Go ahead. I'm waiting for you!!!”
